Every year the five neighborhood kids went trick-or-treating together. This year was no different, except for Bobby. His family went to his grandmother’s, in California until after Christmas.
The four friends dressed as Superhero’s. Jimmy was Superman. Joey dressed as Batman. Brian went as Spiderman, and Matty was Aquaman. Before long a fifth kid joined them. No one could figure out who he was, or his costume.
It looked like a cross of a vampire and a werewolf. Jimmy thought he looked like Eddie Munster.
With his pillowcase full of candy, Jimmy turned to say he was going home. But only Eddie Munster was there with blood dripping down his chin. Jimmy dropped the sack and ran home.
The headline in the morning paper read, three trick-or-treaters vanish without a trace. Five years later there was no sign of the missing kids. Or Eddie Munster.
