He kept replaying in over and over in his mind, hoping he could stop himself from slamming the rock against her head. He never meant for it to happed What had he done?
Peace and quiet today, that’s all he wanted. Away from her. JR couldn’t stand her arguing with him over everything, and was questioning why he was even with her. JR was miserable, and she seemed to enjoy that.
Fishing in the back-woods pond was his sanctuary. JR used to come at least once a week, but not a much lately. She always complained about doing something without her. He didn’t have much of a choice. Either take her or not go.
JR snuck out this morning before she woke. Wistling, as he got closer to his spot. Not a care today until he heard her voice.
JR turned to see rage in her eyes
“Where are you going?” poking him in the chest hard enough to tip him over.
Instinctively, he grabbed on to her to retain his balance. They both fell to the ground. Without thinking, he picked up a rock.
Dragging her into the woods, he buried her and the rock before continuing to the pond.
