It was the first time Joyce had done anything like that, last night. What’s more surprising is how much she enjoyed it. Who knew she was a freak? She didn’t plan for it to happen, but Joyce simply couldn’t choose between them.
Dan, who had been renting Tommy’s bedroom since he came to the island a month ago. Tommy was out west with his father for the summer. Joyce just got home after flying out for a couple days to celebrate Tommy’s birthday. Dan took her to the Social Hall for dinner and a few beers to welcome her back.
Lerry Weeder came in and sat next to Joyce, putting her in between him and Dan. Larry just moved to the island last week. He was a newspaper writer and was going to help start a weekly paper on the island.
As the night went on Joyce felt very attracted to both. Or was it the two shots along with the beers? Either way, she did not want the party to end.
After paying for a twelve pack, Joyce said, “Cmon boys. Let’s go home,” linking arms as they walked out.
